NYC – Spring and the Artist

Today the temperature is in the 60’s and many of the trees are still in bloom. I came across an artist that my friend Arnold would remind me is  a NYC  Plein Air Artist. She is  focused on a tree that seems to have a lot of character.

The subject

I am always careful when taking someones picture that I don’t bother them. This person was busy getting ready for the day and didn’t seem to mind my recording her work. This is not always the case!

Can't paint without the equipment

It was a sunny day and I was shooting with a Canon T3i. I used an 18-135 lens set at 135 for most shots. (helped keep me away from subjects). Most were shot at 1/1250 at around 5.6. Even though it was sunny, I was also shooting in shadows

Good view of the tree on the canvas
