Fredericksburg is a Town that is about 60 miles south of Washington, DC. It is just off route 95.
We often stop here on our way to NC. It is full of Civil War History. The main section of Town is practically like it was in the 1800’s (of course, some exceptions). It is a great Walking Town!
You can google and get more pictures and information. I have selected a few scenes to wet your appetite.
Surrounding Fredericksburg are numerous places to visit. Most are associated with the Civil War and almost all provide you with easy walking trails and many opportunities to take pictures.
Postscript: As I roamed around this area, I was struck by the vast number of soldiers, on both sides, injured or killed in combat during the Civil War. I am reminded of our men and women serving us today.
